One Word Brings Soldier Back to Life!

There is a story making its rounds on the Internet about a fellow Currahee 2LT Brian Brennan of the 101st Airborne who was wounded in Afghanistan a year ago.  The reason for all the hoopla is that the soldier woke from a coma a year later, after hearing the word “Currahee” being spoken by Gen. David Petraeus.

Although CBS got the word’s spelling and meaning wrong, it’s definitely a touching story, and one that should be shared with all. If you want to learn more about the word and it’s meaning, visit the 506th Infantry Association website.

My older brother is a very proud ex-member of the 101st Airborne, and he would enjoy seeing this very much. Of course he knows all about CURRAHEE and it’s meaning. I’d love to send him this but don’t know how [DUH!]. I’ll ask a friend to help me. Thanks for the posting. Very inspiring.
